“What We Believe” Moment: God is King

Leader: For the Lord, the Most High, is awe-inspiring, a great King over the whole earth. (Psalm 47:2)

All: For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods.
The depths of the earth are in his hand, and the mountain peaks are his. (Psalm 95:3–4)

Leader: The Lord reigns! He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, enveloped in strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken.
Your throne has been established from the beginning; you are from eternity. (Psalm 93:1–2)

All: God is our King!
He rules with full authority
Over the whole world
For all eternity.

Leader: [Jesus] will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.” (Luke 1:32–33)

What We Believe Moment

God Exists in Trinity

Leader: 4Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4 (NIV))
All: There is one God.
God exists in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Leader: The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Hebrews 1:3 (CSB))

All: Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” John 10:30 (CSB)
All: Jesus Christ is fully God - God the Son.

Leader: And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” (Galatians 4:6 (CSB))

What We Believe Moment:

Leader: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
All: God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female. (Genesis 1:1, 27)

We believe that God created this world in all its grand-ness and detail, and that He created us.

Leader:Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.
You, Lord, are the only God.
All: You created the heavens, the highest heavens with all their stars, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them, and all the stars of heaven worship you. (Nehemiah 9:5,6)

We believe that God has given life to and sustains what He has made.

Leader: [Jesus Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—

All: all things have been created through him and for him.
He is before all things, and by him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:15-17)

We believe that God made this world and us for Himself: to be in relationship with Him and honour Him with our lives.
